How To Avoid work @ home scams

Work @ home scams perpetrators take advantage of people’s willingness to believe in a desperate hope that an opportunity will assist them to achieve their dream of being a millionaire from home.

When a scammer runs off with their hard earned money, that’s not all they steal, their dreams are also stolen.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell with which opportunities are scams and which ones are legitimate, there are warning signs that can show you to proceed with caution.

These include:
  • Absurd claims that you can make large amounts of money in a very short time or with very little work. Success comes with hard work and sometimes sacrifices and cannot be built overnight.
  • Claims that the system does not require any work on your part and that you can make money while you sleep.
  • Not every business opportunity is right for everybody. The ridiculous claims of some scammers that “You are guaranteed to make money” are far from the truth. They do not know if you have the skills, your educational background which will definitely affect your success.
  • When there is no contact information, legitimate businesses have a tendency to welcome inquiries and feedback.
  • In many cases you are told that it’s a limited time offer - you MUST join today! If it’s a legitimate business, it will still be around forever. Don’t allow anyone to pressure you into joining an online business without proper verification.
  • When you have to pay a fee just to find out information about the opportunity.
  • When there is hardly any detail about what you will actually be selling. Unclear details could indicate that the opportunity has a bad reputation.
  • When there is too much emphasis on recruiting others for a commission, rather than emphasizing the sale of a product or service.
  • In many cases you are told that it’s a limited time offer - you MUST join today! If it’s a legitimate business, it will still be around forever. Don’t allow anyone to pressure you into joining an online business without proper verification.

Point of note: Many people become fed-up after being scammed; they assume all online businesses are scams. This is an equally non-productive attitude as being too trusting!

There are many legitimate opportunities available out there. And keep in mind, too, that just because an opportunity does not work for you, that it does not necessarily make it a scam. Each individual’s skills, interests, and motivation will determine how successful you are with any business.

Let common sense be your guide. If something doesn’t seem right, don't bother. The least you can do is check out any company thoroughly before making any commitment.

Finally, you can create your own opportunity by producing and marketing a product or service of your own.

Working from home is certainly an attainable goal. Do research on each opportunity carefully, work consistently towards your goal, and you could very well be able to join the ranks of home businesses owners sooner than you think.

Goodluck!
